 Guided Readings for Native Americans

Before Christopher Columbus arrived in North America there were more than 500 different Native American nations speaking more than 300 different languages. They had different customs, religious beliefs, traditions, and life styles. We will learn about some of these different nations in different parts of North America.

 Guided Readings for African Americans

We will study about the history of African Americans from colonial days up to the present. We will look at this history in the words of those who lived it. We will study about some of the major events and movements that have shaped the environment African Americans live in today. We will look at slavery through the story of Booker T. Washington who was born   slave and became a free man.
